In Memoriam
 |
We will all be raised up and reunited in a new
heavens and a new earth.
In the face of death, the Christian proclaims
that we were created for eternal life.
|
| We believe that
Jesus, the Son of God, by his death and resurrection, has freed
humanity from the power of sin and death. Each one of us can
say, as St. Paul, Christ loved me and died for me.
The Church is confident in its belief that
death is not the end, but the beginning of new life. Life
is not ended, it is changed. The bonds of love and kinship
forged in life are not broken at its end. They are transformed.

 |
Christians offer worship, praise, to God in thanksgiving
for the gift of a life which through death has returned to God,
who is creator, refuge and hope. In prayer we commit the one who
has died to God's merciful love and plead for the forgiveness of
their sins.
The spiritual bond that exists between the living
and the dead is a powerful consolation and an indefeatable strength.
|
| We look forward
to the day when we all will be raised up and reunited in a new
heavens and a new earth, where no more tears will be shed, no
more good-byes said. |
