Sr. Denise Cecilia Sr. Denise grew up close to the ocean (near Cape Cod) and has always loved water life - swimming, sailing, canoeing, as well as fishing and, of course, seafood. Musically inclined, she plays keyboard and guitar and loves to sing and listen to music. Her apostolic life reflects all the variety of the Pauline mission: from working in the book bindery to designing marketing pieces, serving patrons in our book centers, and missionary journeys (from the Eskimo villages in Alaska to tropical homes in the Bahamas). When I received the name "Cecilia" at first profession, I was thrilled - not only to have my mother's name, and because St. Cecilia is the patroness of music, and I love music - but because it was a call for me to make my life a song to the Lord: "I will sing of your love forever" (Ps. 89). I have treasured these years of communion with my sisters in so many of our houses, as well as the many wonderful experiences in performing our apostolate. I have met so many lovely people, and the Lord has used me as His instrument - like a musical instrument -- to sing His love and bring His Gospel message to them through our beautiful books, magazines, music and videos. My heart is filled with tremendous gratitude to Jesus Master for calling me to sing His love - through my life of consecration and through our beautiful mission of evangelization through the media. Like a musical symphony, there have been different movements in my life too - low notes and high notes, bassos and crescendos - yet in all this I believe the hand of the Master has turned all this into a harmony, and has composed His own concerto within me. I especially thank my loving family, and my wonderful teachers who raised me to love my Catholic faith: the Sisters of St. Joseph and Sisters of Holy Cross. Above all I thank all my own Sisters - the Daughters of St. Paul - who have been such an encouragement and support and inspiration to me all these years.
