Sisters of Jesus the Good Shepherd

Founded by Fr. James Alberione on October 7, 1938 and officially approved by the Holy See on 29 June 1959.

The apostolate of the Sisters of Jesus the Good Shepherd is to be a creative presence in the life of the community.

They are present in 13 nations, where they "exercise a direct apostolate in direct contact with the families" in the parishes. They are in close relationship with the parish priests and with the members of the parish community.

The Sisters offer pastoral animation, and favor the use of the means of communication for evangelization. Their Pauline spirituality is inspired by Jesus the Good Shepherd, Mary Divine Shepherd and the Apostles Peter and Paul.
