God is generous, that we might be generous
Sr. Tracey Matthia's Perpetual Profession
Celebration

What better way to tell others about the Lord than through prayer.
Our time in Louisiana was powerfully wrapped in prayer. We prayed
in people's homes, in the churches in the evenings, with prayer
groups. always interceding for the needs of the community, the nation,
and the world.

I remember hearing once that the world's great imbalance of abundance
and poverty can only be bridged by human solidarity. The Lord calls
us to stand with his people and be attentive to their needs. Only
then can we hear "the cry of the poor." Solidarity calls
us to take reverent hold of what we have already been given so that
we can share it with others.

"God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that
in all things, always having all you need you may have an abundance
for every good work" (2 Cor 9:8). Not one day went by that
we did not receive from the goodness of the people. In giving of
ourselves, we were overwhelmed by how much we got back.delicious
Cajun food, beautiful friendships.grace upon grace!

In our every prayer we prayed that God's still small voice might
be heard in the sanctuary of every heart.especially for those he
is calling to serve him more closely in priesthood or religious
life.
The sisters planned a special Prayer Vigil to pray me through the
few days before professing my forever "yes" to the Lord.
Many people came and prayed with me at the parish church. The Spirit
of God hovered over that holy place.
