My life is found in you, Lord!
Sr. Tracey Matthia's Perpetual Profession
Celebration
Nothing we do as individuals, communities, or nations, goes without
its effect on the rest of the world, for good or for ill. The more
complex our age becomes, the more desperately the world needs persons
who live Jesus, and so bring about his kingdom. My vocation as a
Daughter of St. Paul urges me to seek the same goal as St. Paul,
"that Christ may live in me." In surrendering my entire
person to the Lord through perpetual profession, my life becomes
the space in which the Lord Jesus can be present in the world.
"Consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (2
Cor 9:6).
The love and support of my family gives me the courage to offer
myself to the Lord.

Calling upon the prayers of all the saints in heaven, I lie prostrate
in adoration before God.

With one hand on the Word of God and the other over my heart, I
commit myself to the Lord with the following words: "In response
to the love of God who has called me to follow more closely, Christ
the Master, Way, Truth and Life, among the Daughters of St. Paul,
I, Sr. Tracey Matthia Dugas, in full freedom, totally offer myself
to the Father, to be consecrated by him in Christ."

The greatest wealth I can give my brothers and sisters is a life
lived in Christ, a life in which I use all my gifts to point to
the Lord, who alone fulfills the deepest longings of our hearts.
Who will teach us the truth of our being, but the Lord? I pray
that the seeds of his presence sown during this time will bear abundant
fruit.
"He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor, his righteousness
endures forever."
