Anxiety and Uncertainty
A Time of Great Transformation and Change

by Father Terence Curley

In these months of national mourning, many people are finding themselves dealing with emotional responses such as anger, fear, anxiety, vulnerability. It is essential to name and own our feelings. Naming our fears is the first step toward inner freedom. By using our fears, our anger, or our anxiety we can begin right from where we find ourselves to ask God for healing. A good friend of mine thought that because she was a religious person she should feel an inner strength and courage. Instead she felt weak and needed to find a shoulder to cry on more than once. She needed to begin right from where she was to begin to seek God, meaning and understanding. And so do you..
