John Paul Search for the Truth with Us

What is our vocation in the Church?
Do our lives have any meaning?
Why is there evil in the world?
  How do you pray?
What does it mean to be truly free?
  Will God forgive me?
  Is there a future?
Can holiness be a part of ordinary life?
  Is peace possible?
  Social justice
  Does faith really matter?
What is the mission of the older person?
How can we share our faith with others?
Will the Church survive the present scandal?
Documents of Pope John Paul II

How Do You Pray?

" ‘As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love’ (Jn. 15:9). If you wish your unity to endure and not only to be linked to the enthusiasm of a particular moment, you must ‘remain’ in Jesus’ love, as the branch remains joined to the vine."

"Learn to place the Eucharist at the center of your life. By meditating on the Gospel, you will deepen your understanding of its meaning. This will help you to rediscover the value and beauty of the Sunday Eucharistic assembly, the joy of belonging to a people who carry the crucified and risen Christ in their hearts."

"Try then to behave toward Jesus in the Eucharist as he behaves toward us: he gives himself gratuitously."

"Pause before the tabernacle by yourself, for no special reason, even without saying a thing, simply remaining in his presence, contemplating the supreme gesture of love contained in the consecrated Bread."

"Learn to remain with him, to be able to love like him. When you can during the week, take part in Holy Mass. Fidelity to the weekday Eucharist helps us to follow Christ in daily life, and gives us light and strength as we follow our vocation."

"In the Eucharist, Christ makes himself all things to everyone, to make us one in him; then he sends us out to witness to his love to our brothers and sisters."

"Look for Jesus. Seek his presence in your lives and strive to know him ever more intimately. Do not be afraid to make yourselves known to him."

"Bring your questions and fears to the Lord, for in him you will discover life’s true meaning and your own vocation in this world."

"Love Jesus. Give yourselves to him in prayer; receive him in the sacraments; worship him in the assembly of the faithful."

"Loving Christ is your answer to his love for you; it is to respond to what he says to you, especially in the Scriptures and in the teaching of the Church."

"In Jesus’ love you will find the fulfillment of your deepest aspirations, and you will grow into full spiritual maturity."

"Bear witness to Jesus. Place your hope firmly in him, and let your words and deeds speak courageously of this hope to others."

"What is holiness if not the joyous experience of God’s love and meeting him in prayer?"

"Being holy means living in deep communion with the God of joy, having a heart free from sin and the sadness of the world, and a mind that is humble before him."

"God made us for joy. God is joy, and the joy of living reflects the original joy that God felt in creating us."
