Do Our Lives Have Any Meaning?
"Do not be afraid to open your hearts to
Christ. Allow him to come into your lives, into your families, into
society. In this way all things will be made new. The Church repeats
this appeal, calling everyone without exception—individuals,
families, peoples—so that by faithfully following Jesus Christ
all may find the full meaning of their lives."
"The human being is fully himself only when
he meets God and can abandon himself in the embrace of the Trinity!
If you can follow this path, you will never be numbers among the
masses, copies of the nameless faces of advertising."
"Redeemed man is involved in a complex dynamic.
God is not satisfied with a conditional response. He wants total
commitment. The communion to which he invites us is not only achieved
with words; neither can it remain in the realm of feelings. A few
acts of generosity are not enough to satisfy the demands arising
for those who have been ontologically reborn through Christ. Paul
the Apostle’s discourse on this subject is very clear: by
Baptism, we have been reborn so that as Christ was raised from the
dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of
life."
"It is time to overcome laziness and mediocrity,
and to renew our whole life in the light of the Gospel."
"Today, those who can live the Gospel consistently
are swimming against the tide. This is the heroism of daily life,
of living holiness at every instant and in every situation."
"Jesus has a unique relationship with every
person, which enables us to see in every human face the face of
Christ."
