Greg Friedman, O.F.M.
Franciscan Father Greg Friedman, O.F.M., is Creative Director of the Electronic Media Department for at St. Anthony Messenger Press. Fr. Greg is the host of American Catholic Radio, a half-hour program heard weekly on Catholic Radio stations around the U.S. and on the Sirius Satellite Network. He supervised the development of Catholic Update Video, an award-winning library of over 25 programs for adult faith formation. He helps develop Web-based projects for the Press, including OnceCatholic.org and FranciscanRadio.org, where his "Sunday Soundbites" are a weekly Web feature. He is the author of three books and numerous articles. He served as associate producer of PBS and History Channel documentary, Thomas Jefferson: A View from the Mountain. Fr. Greg is also the pastor of St. Francis Seraph Parish in Cincinnati and also serves as a member of the leadership team of the Cincinnati-based Franciscan Friars. Father Greg has a Master’s degree in television, radio, and film from the Newhouse School at Syracuse university.
Frank Frost, PhD
Frank Frost produces documentary television and reviews commercial motion pictures. His documentaries have been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and the Odyssey Channel (now the Hallmark Channel). Among his more than 30 hours of nationally aired programs are a ten-part series, Scandinavia, with Walter Cronkite, and a 20-episode weekly series, Spiritual Homepage. Individual shows include Bernardin, The Other Holy Land, and The American Creed. Frost is founder of Cine and Media, and is co-founder the National Film Retreat. He has served on ecumenical juries at the Venice Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, and the Monte Carlo Television Festival, and writes reviews for Everyday Catholic. Frost was prepared for production at the University of Southern California , where he studied under such well-known film celebrities as Jerry Lewis, Arthur Knight, Sol Lesser, Arthur Mayer and Stan Freburg. Frost served as Associate Producer of Franco Zeffirelli: Renaissance Man , a documentary about the production of Brother Sun, Sister Moon. He was on location in Italy with Zeffirelli for five months.
Rose Pacatte, FSP
Sr. Rose is the Director of the Pauline Center for Media Studies in Los Angeles. She has an MA in Education in Media Studies from the University of London (UK), a Certificate in Pastoral Communications from the University of Dayton. Rose is a frequent presenter at international, national and local media education conferences and religious education and catechetical congresses. She is a facilitator for the media courses for the University of Dayton 's Virtual Learning Community and teaches graduate level media education courses at the university in the summer. She is a member of the Catholic Press Association, the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals, the Religious Communicators Council, Catholics in Media, and a member of the Alliance for a Media Literate America (www.AMLAinfo.org). She is also a co-chaplain for Open Call. Sr. Rose was a member of the O.C.I.C. jury at the Venice Film Festival in 2000 and the Ecumenical Juries at the Berlin Film Festival in 2003 and the Locarno International Film Festival in 2005. Rose is the "Eye on Entertainment" columnist for St. Anthony Messenger magazine. She is the media consultant for Homiletics magazine and also writes book reviews and film essays and is a frequent contributor to The Tidings (Archdiocese of Los Angeles) and other periodicals. Peter Malone, MSC with Rose Pacatte, FSP wrote Lights, Camera.Faith! A Movie Lover's Guide to Scripture - Cycle A, Cycle B and Cycle C; their newest collaboration is Lights, Camera…Faith! The Ten Commandments released in March, 2006. In March 2007, St. Mary’s Press released her newest book with Gretchen Hailer, RSHM, Media Mindfulness: Educating Teens about Faith and Media. Sr. Rose’s latest publication, co-authored with Ron Schmidt, SJ, is “Into Great Silence: a Film Study Guide.”
