My Mom asks—"Did you say your night prayers?"—So you stop to think & yell "Yes Mom!" but you know you didn’t. Kids at school don’t pray. Why should I?

Prayer is a special communication between you and God. No one can make you do it. It’s you who should & need to do it. We are all so small in the world. Think of all the people in distant China. God created each one specially. Now bring it home. You in your town or city are one in thousands—almost lost in a crowd. But God knows your thoughts and feelings. He follows your life as if you were the only human being in the world. Awesome.

You do count. He waits to hear from you. So yes, prayer connects us to someone who loves us & is interested in ever part of our lives. So why not connect?

Just a few quiet minutes before sleep. Tell him about your day. Tell Him of your concerns & fears. He listens to every little whisper. He can do everything!
